The FortiSwitch 124F-POE provides 12 PoE+ ports on ports 1 through 12, supporting IEEE 802.3af (up to 15.4W) and 802.3at (up to 30W) standards with a combined power budget of 185W. Ports 13 through 24 are standard GE RJ45 (non-PoE).
When deployed in FortiLink mode, PoE power scheduling, device prioritization, and remote power cycling are all managed centrally from the FortiGate console. This eliminates the need to log in to each switch individually for PoE control.
The FortiSwitch 124F-POE provides PoE+ on ports 1 to 12 only (half the ports, 185W budget), while the FortiSwitch 124F-FPOE provides PoE+ on all 24 ports (370W budget). Choose 124F-POE for mixed wired/wireless deployments, and 124F-FPOE for maximum powered device density.
